A call is place to Adar's parents' home in Israel and is answered bu his then 14 years old sister, Rona. The women on the phone speaks Hebrew with an American accent and never identifies herself. During the 5 minute call the woman notifies the family of a "present from Adar" that will reach them in a week or two and verifies their address. A similar call is place to Ben's parents' home.

That same day there are several attempts to buy goods using Adar's credit cards. The attempts to buy $8,258 worth of electronics in Best-Buy and another attempt to buy $467 worth of clothing using his AmEx card are rejected by the AmEx security devision. The clothing are then purchased using his seconds Mastercard credit-card, which is later also used in a restaurant in the sum of $68.

All of Adar's personal and professional gear is still in the car, as well as parts of Ben's. The opening of Shane Huang`s trial in Los Angeles Supreme Court. Yohanna Wertzberger, Ben`s mother, Rona and Sylvi Ne'eman are called to testify on behalf of the Prosecution.
Court evidence reveals that Adar was waiting in Ben`s car, while the latter went into Shane Huang`s house (the accused) in Canoga Park to what seems as returning a loan to Jamille Carbotelli, Huang`s friend. Huang handcuffs Ben and locks him in his house on claim that the latter (Ben), broke into his house two days earlier. When Ben fails to give Huang a satisfactory explanation on the alleged break-in and theft, he comes out of his house search in Ben`s car where he finds Adar waiting for Ben and, at knife-point, drags him forcibly into the house

A court jury finds Benjamin Frandsen guilty of:
1. Two first degree murders
2. Found true the special circumstance of multiple murder

The jury's verdict is given within half an hour after the prosecution and defence rest. Contrary to custom, the jury summons the families to their room in order to get to know them personally. After mutual hugging and crying some jurors apologized that they could not be of comfort and strength to the families since it goes against court regulations. This human gesture is a rare sight in American courts, claims prosecutor Shelly Samuels.

A judge overturns the conviction of one of the killers, Benjamin Frandsen. The reason for the overturning is that one of the jurors – a woman from Mexico – didn't understand English very well. The woman claims she only understood "about 20%-30% of the trial. Although there is not yet a date for it – a third trial for Benjamin Frandsen is expected.

בשלב הטעונים לעונש מתאפשר לאימו של אדר לפנות לשופט, ולהביע בפניו את העובדה, כי במשך 14 שנים הנאשם מבצע מניפולציות שונות ומנצל את החוק לטובתו . מצד אחד הוא מתנצל ומצד שני אינו מודה ברצח וטוען להגנה עצמית.
בדיון זה, במהלך חקירה נגדית, הנאשם סוף סוף מודה ברצח.
בית המשפט גוזר על בנג'מין פראנדסן 19 שנות מאסר עד מאסר עולם.

The Los-Angeles supreme court gathers to sentence Benjamin Frandsen.
Adar's mother is allowed to address the court during this hearing and notes that for the past 14 years the defendant manipulated and took advantage of loopholes in the law in order to postpone or avoid charges. On one hand he expresses remorse yet on the other doesn't admit his sins.
During this hearing and his counter-interrogation, Benjamin Frandsen finally admits he participated in Adar's murder.
The Los Angeles supreme court sentences Benjamin Frandsen to "19 years to life" in prison.

2. אורה ווסן, ישראלית לשעבר וחברה של הנאשמים, היא האשה שהתקשרה למשפחות וורצברגר ונאמן בדצמבר 2002. ווסן נעצרה עקב חשד לשיבוש הליכי חקירה, חתמה על עסקת טיעון עם התביעה, והעידה בשני המשפטים. בשני המשפטים, למרות עסקת הטיעון, שיקרה בעדותה וטענה כי לא התקשרה למשפחות.

1. Nicholas Turner, the third suspect of the abduction and murder, made a plea bargain with the Prosecution after admitting to two accounts of abduction and false imprisonment.

2. Ora Wassen, a former Israeli resident, was the woman who called the Wertzebergers and Adars` homes. She was arrested on charge of obstruction of justice, signed a plea bargain and testified in both trials. Despite her plea bargain, she lied in both trials claiming she was not the one who had made the phone calls.

3. At the end of Fransen`s first trial, the Los Angeles District Prosecutor, Shelly Samuels, gave an interview to Ma'ariv, (Israeli newspaper), in which she claimed and we quote: "Evidence in court shows clearly that the two young Israelis were victims of abduction and murder so that they do not testify against their murderers".
